Bach St John Passion

The Ottawa Bach Choir’s second concert of the season features Bach’s dramatic Johannes-Passion (St. John Passion), BWV 245, composed in 1724. The performance of the Passion was the outstanding musical event of the year in Leipzig and this setting of John’s Gospel is Bach’s most theatrical. With the Theatre of Early Music baroque orchestra and international soloists, including soprano Hélène Brunet, countertenors Daniel Taylor and Nicholas Burns, British tenor Charles Daniels and more, this performance is not to be missed!
